Tijani Women Companions 

 

Extract from the Book of "Tijani Women" (Nisa' Tijaniyyat)

The Concealed Pole, the Known Mohammedian Seal, the Seal of Special Mohammedian Sainthood,  Shaykh Abil Abbas Sidi Ahmed Tijani (may Allah be pleased with him)

8. Sayyida Moubaraka, the Wife of Sidna Shaykh Abil Abbas Sidi Ahmed b. Mohammed Tijani al-Hassani (may Allah be pleased with him)

She is the wife of our Master, the Concealed Pole, Abil Abbas Sidi Ahmed Tijani, may Allah be pleased with him, and the mother of his son, Sidi Mohammed al-Habib. In his documentation of the Qutb Sidi al-Haj Ali Tamasini’s miraculous gift (karama) whereby he threw a date branch (‘arjun) from the village of Tamasine to the city of Fez placing it before Shaykh Tijani, may Allah be pleased with him, the Allama Ibn Matmatiyya said about her matter in his book “The Peculiar Proofs of the Virtues of the One from Tamasin” (Gharaib al-Barahin fi Manaqib Sahib Tamasin): "She was named Moubaraka. And she was a women slave that our Master had freed and then married. She was great in righteousness, immense in good and success. So at that time, the desire for a date had been thrown into her thoughts while she was carrying Sidna Mohammed al-Habib." It is worth mentioning that Sidna Shaykh, may Allah be pleased with him, had many female slaves. But, he had only children from Sayyida Mabrouka and Sayyida Moubaraka. Our Master often said, “The blessed house is the very place where the blessed man (mubarak) and the blessed women (mubaraka) live together.” And that was in deference to some of the masters who remarked, “The blessed house is the place where there is neither a blessed man nor a blessed women live together.

السيدة مباركة  زوجة سيدنا القطب المكتوم أبي العباس سيدي أحمد التجاني رضي الله تعالى عنه، وهي أم ولده سيدي محمد الحبيب، ذكرها العلامة ابن المطماطية في كتابه غرائب البراهين في مناقب صاحب تماسين عند حديثه عن الكرامة المتعلقة بعرجون التمر الذي رماه القطب سيدي الحاج علي التماسيني من تماسين وسقط بين يدي الشيخ التجاني رضي الله عنه بداره بفاس، فقال في حقها : وكانت تسمى مباركة، وهي أَمَةٌ أعتقها سيدنا ثم تزوجها، و كانت كبيرة الصلاح، عظيمة الخير والفلاح، وكانت وَقْتَ أَنْ أُلْقِيَتْ فِي خَاطِرِهَا شَهْوَةُ التمر حاملاً بولد سيدنا المذكور [يعني سيدي محمد الحبيب] ولمزيد التوضيح فقد كان لسيدنا الشيخ رضي الله عنه إماء كثيرات، غير أنه لم يترك أولاده الكرام إلا من السيدة مبروكة والسيدة مباركة، وكان رضي الله عنه كثيرا ما يقول : الدار المباركة هي التي فيها مبارك ومباركة، وذلك مخالفة للشيوخ القائلين : الدار المباركة ليس فيها مبارك و مباركة،
